Save on costs and extend the lifespan of your robot(s)!
It sounds obvious, but experience has taught us that regular robot maintenance brings significant cost savings. Both in the short and long term.
Think for example of unexpected repairs and therefore unexpected downtime. We want to proactively avoid that. Or the lifespan and ROI (Return on Investment) of your robot. We want to maintain and improve that. Or how about maintaining safety and performance?
The importance of periodic maintenance is sometimes overlooked, but it is of course essential.
A comparison between a robot and a car often goes awry, but you also have your car serviced. Just as your car needs regular maintenance for optimal performance, your robot deserves the same care. So why not apply this to your valuable robot? Periodic maintenance can reduce your costs by as much as 40%.
It may seem oversimplified, but neglecting periodic maintenance ultimately results in high costs and increases the risk of downtime. So it requires a shift in mindset. However, it remains your decision!
That’s why IRS Robotics recommends having periodic robot maintenance performed at least once a year, or sooner if necessary. Sometimes the frequency can also go to once every 2 years. Our experts will work with you to determine the best maintenance interval. This is based on factors such as the location and frequency of use of the robot, our engineers will advise you on this.
Our Robot Service schedule will then periodically remind you of this important step!
Did you know that IRS Robotics can also perform a Quick Scan of your robot(s)? An engineer will then check the current status of the robot and you will receive a report. You will then immediately gain insight into the condition of the robot and together we can decide whether or not to take action. This is also very useful in preparation for the actual maintenance job. All points are surfaced prior to the actual maintenance and our engineers then immediately take the necessary materials with them. Then a second visit and downtime of the robot is often not necessary.
Robot users in the Benelux* region often choose to have their robot maintenance performed by the IRS Service Team for the following reasons:
* While we mainly cover the Benelux region (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) We also provide robot maintenance in Western Germany and Northern France. However, this is often project-based maintenance, i.e. multiple robots or multiple locations. Are you interested, or do you have questions? Feel free to contact us.
