At IRS Robotics, these ABB robots are carefully overhauled and tested by our experienced Robot Engineers according to strict internal protocols (see also our 77-point protocol).

We have listed the main points of the process.

1. IRS Refurbishment

   Each IRB 2400 is first taken apart by certified IRS Engineers, then inspected and refitted with new parts where necessary. Worn components (bearings, cables, gears) are replaced, and then the robot is thoroughly cleaned and recalibrated. During this process, the robot goes through about half of our 77-point protocol, ultimately leaving the workshop as close to new as possible.

2. Full test

   After refurbishment, we run extensive tests and pilot programs to ensure the robot meets specification requirements. These include repeat tests for positional accuracy, weight load tests and long-term rotational tests. Only when the IRB 2400 passes all remaining points in the protocol does it become available for sale.

3. Warranty

   We supply the refurbished IRB 2400 with parts and operation warranty as standard (for example, 6 or 12 months, depending on your service package). This gives you, the customer, complete peace of mind. In the unlikely event that something does occur during the initial period, we are immediately ready to solve it.

4. Support and training

   Our relationship with you certainly doesn’t stop after the sale. We offer optional support for installation, integration and training of your personnel. For robot newbies, we can additionally provide basic training so you can get up and running quickly. System integrators can count on assistance in linking the robot within reason.
