ABB IRB 140:

A compact arm (payload 6 kg, reach 810mm). This model is smaller than the IRB 1600 and ideal for very precise tasks or small spaces. In comparison, the IRB 1600 thus offers more reach and payload, making it more suitable for medium-sized jobs and heavier parts.

ABB IRB 2600:

Faster mid-range robotic arm (payload ~12 kg, reach 1650 mm). This model has a longer reach and can handle slightly heavier payloads than the IRB 1600. However, the IRB 1600 is more compact and can handle high speeds, making it more efficient in cycle-time-sensitive processes. We have listed the main points of the process.

IRS Refurbishment

Each IRB 1600 is taken apart by certified IRS Engineers, inspected and fitted with new parts where necessary. Worn components (bearings, cables, gears) are replaced, and the robot is thoroughly cleaned and recalibrated. Here, the robot goes through about half of our 77-point protocol, leaving the workshop as close to new as possible.

Full testing

After refurbishment, we run extensive tests and pilot programs to ensure the robot meets specification requirements. These include repeat tests for positional accuracy, weight load tests and long-term rotational testing. Only when the IRB 1600 passes all remaining points in the protocol does it become available for sale.

Warranty

We supply the refurbished IRB 1600 with a standard warranty on parts and operation (e.g., 6 or 12 months, depending on your service package). This gives you, the customer, peace of mind. In the unlikely event that something does occur during the initial period, we are ready to solve it.
